Hey all. Thought I should drop a line about an event happening this coming week. My baby brother is playing at the Vatikan on Friday the 26th. I'm not even sure what there name is (Trigger Effect maybe?), since he only recently became a member of it.

Since it's the Vatikan, I obviously won't be there. But if you're more inclined to frequent that establishment, then I recommend checking it out. I'm only recommending it because it's my baby brother. I have never heard this band, so they could royally suck. I will not be held accountable for any shattered eardrums.

If you do happen to go, then say hi to him from me.

His name is Jordan Brown (half-brother). For those that forget what he looks like...

So I figure that I should stop making fun of the whole emo/hardcore thing. I have a huge skeleton in my closet in that regard. See last night I found my brother's myspace.com page. Oh lord.

Let me introduce Jordan, the walking myspace ad...

Maggie Price (from the tv series Lost) is in talks to play Kitty Pryde for the upcoming X-Men 3 movie. I was initially kind of psyched about this, but I mixed up the characters. I didn't know all of the actors names and ended up assuming they meant Kate (Evangeline Lilly). She would make a perfect Shadowcat, even though she is a bit older than one would figure the character should be.

But still...she's got the look down. But instead it looks like the Kitty Pryde is the one character from the show that I never really liked all that much. Still, she's workable for the role. But she better be dyeing that shit blonde hair of hers.

The introduction of Kitty Pryde may mean Halle Berry's final exit. The woman can't handle any actress taking away from her lines/face time. So I think if they lock down Maggie to play Kitty...it also finally boots Storm out of the next movie. And I write that with incredible glee :) :)

I could deal with a cgi Lockheed to boot.

The bad news is that supposedly they're talking to Kelsey Grammar about playing Beast. Oh lord. Please no. ANYTHING BUT THAT! I would even prefer something incredibly dorky that makes no sense whatsoever. I could deal with Paris Hilton playing Beast over Kelsey Grammar.

Because you know that if he signs on...he's going to sing :(

Easily this is the most fun thing I've ever written. But mainly because I got to pull out the photoshop in a strange way. Though not incredible use of skills since I did it in 2 minutes. I've bolded the important parts behind the cut...since I know more than a few won't have the patience to read the full thing. If you do it on the site though you'll have at least a couple of pretty pictures.

It's kind of scary that there are 12 communities and 179 users on livejournal that have white pride listed as an interest.

Fuck fuckity fuck fuck yourselves!

It's amazing how selfish people can be sometimes. I've gotten literally yelled at today because I'm such a prick for not going downtown to celebrate my bday (celebrating it with people tonight and [info]erotica_ on the actual day, which is sunday). Yeah whatever. Get over it. I'm going uptown, not down.

Choices...choices...choices. Go uptown and I am pretty much guaranteed to have a drama free night with free drinks. Plus, I'll be in an environment where I like the music and nearly every person that is there. Or go downtown and potentially run into the exact opposite. That would be a no brainer for most sensible people :P

They're doing a smaller get together at boi-luv headquarters tonight, and that's where I'll be heading (though smaller still means about 5X the size of the average house party). It's not like I hate my friends or anything, but I'd rather do the house party thing than some crappy bar that I can't even smoke in. I'm drinking scotch tonight and I can't drink scotch without smoking. It just feels very wrong :P

But of course this doesn't make sense to a few others. I guess I'm supposed to make all the sacrifices. I'm supposed to run to a bar that I don't feel comfortable being in, listen to music that I probably can't stand, and be surrounded by a ton of people that I don't even like. And I would have to run outside every single time I wanted to have a smoke.

Yeah. I'll get right on that (/sarcasm)

GO CANADA!!!

Edit: HAHAHAHA! Sass Jordan. That was almost as bad as Wayne Gretzky's daughter and her singing during the semi-finals.

Edit: 1-0 Canada. Goal by Sakic with a sweet pass from Mario :)

Edit: 1-1 Canada/Finland tied. Really really crappy goal. Had more to do with the front of the net being crowded, than any actual skill.

Edit: Iginla is the future of hockey?? It's not looking all that bright then. The kid can't pull the trigger no matter how sweet a pass you give him >_<

Edit: POWERPLAY BABY :D

Edit: 2-1 for Canada right now. And I'm glad that they scored. Fucking Finland started using the trap system while the game was tied. I think that there should be a "trap sniper" to shoot any player that starts to utilize that strategy. Most boring hockey in history. Not a good thing in an international tournament when you are trying to spotlight the game you dumb fucks.

Edit: 3-2 for Canada. There have been brief flashes of this being a great game. Some amazing rushes from both ends. But overall it's been pretty lame :(

CANADA WINS!!!!!!

Wednesday is a day that I've been dreading for weeks now. That day signifies the likely end of hockey for most of this year (before it really even began).

There are arguments on both sides. Players vs. owners. The only voice that doesn't seem to matter is the fans.

But an article from a New Jersey paper today has finally decided my allegiance in the coming war. I am now 100% for the "greedy owners". I not only think the players should be shafted...but I also think they should have to send apology letters to every fan of hockey in the world if they don't get their overpaid asses onto that fucking ice now.

I've alway been a fan of forward Mike Modano. But no longer. From now on I won't even attend a game this jackass plays in. Not after what he said...

Taken from the Star Ledger - "When it was suggested to Modano that he could earn as much as $400 per game playing in some leagues, he looked insulted and answered: "That would pay for my dog's food for a month."

Fuck you Mike. I hope you get a concussion in an overseas league (since they're the only ones that'll pay you this year) and bleed to death all over the ice.

Note: I realize that most of you hate sports, but this is something that really grates me. Greed mixed with lack of tact is a deadly combination.

Problem: The States has a very high rate of deaths that are related to firearm use.

Solution: Let's give everyone the right to own even more powerful weapons.

THE US SCORES ONCE AGAIN ON HARDCORE USE OF LOGIC :P

Currently re-ripping my music collection. Decided to do the whole thing over to rip it extremely high quality (I have the disk space now after all).

I'm bored though! Somebody amuse me :D

Edit: I've been listening to Moist for the past 2 hours straight. Forgot how much I used to (and still) love that band.

Edit: I commented with the interesting happening yesterday in [info]deceptapimp's journal. I was listening to Public Enemy "911 is a joke" yesterday and some asshole passing by my apartment started beating down the door calling me an asshole. Seriously people...turn down the sensitivity meter. I didn't even know what day it was :P

Edit: You know I'm in a weird mood when ;)

Whoops. I don't think I was supposed to video capture the hockey game like that. I'm pretty sure it being 12 GB is a bad thing o_O

Saw something today that really hit my last nerve. For the past decade I've seen countless hip hop artists blame the American/Canadian judicial system for being harsh on them because of a negative reputation that hip hop has, but supposedly doesn't deserve.

More power to people to speaking out on something they believe in I guess. But...

Def Jam's Fight for New York comes out soon on multiple video game systems. It is a fairly violent video game system. It even has a story mode that does deal in serious subject matter.

Again...no real problem. I have nothing against violent video games :)

Oh wait. Majority of the characters in the video game are hip hop stars!

So while people in the hip hop scene are bitching and whining about people being prejudiced against them, they are perpetuating the stereotype. Good job guys.

All 40 of the people that sold their images/voices have made it that much more difficult for anyone to believe anything they say afterwards.

My first thought when booting up the new system was "So this is what it feels like when God starts up his computer". I was doing many impressions of Tim Allen on Home Improvement last night, with the whole "more power" grunting thing.

Seriously though...this thing is a dream. Currently I'm updating my livejournal on the right monitor and talking to [info]erotica_, while the left monitor has my Xbox running on it.

I was screaming at it last night though. Took a while to get everything working. And still there are sooo many things that I still need to fix. I get weird echoing from the speaker setup that I know I can fix in a control panel somewhere...but there are like 5 control panels for the damn thing. All in time I guess. The sound setup is worth nearly a thousand dollars...you figure it would be just plug and play :P

We forgot to grab the digital camera from the office on the way out though, so no pictures yet. I might take some with the webcam today though. It's sooooo pretty :D

Pointless post. It's my journal so deal with it :P

This entry marks the end of dealing with a machine thats capabitlities are far below what I need for it to do. No more looking at either a dimmed or skewed monitor screen.

I bid you farewell. Though you have pained me at times...you have served me well this past year :)
